2016 Panorama of China 22-Day Tour

Day01 (Wed.) Arrival in Beijing

When arriving in Beijing, you will be greeted by our professional tour guide at the Beijing Capital Airport and then transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for your own leisure, and you can choose other scenic spots to visit at your own expenses.

Day02 Beijing (B/L/SD)

After hotel breakfast, begin our wonderful city tour by visiting Forbidden City, which is the largest and the best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. Then tour Tiananmen Square and outside view of the National Grand Theater. Afterwards, visit the Summer Palace. Lastly, Stop by Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Institute, which had been designated to provide medicines for the royal pharmacy of the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty for 188 years. Peking Duck Dinner will be served tonight.

 

Day03 Beijing (B/L/D)

Looking like a gigantic dragon across deserts, grasslands and mountains, the Great Wall of China is one of the 'Eight Wonders of the World'. We tour the Juyongguan portion of the Great Wall in the morning and stop by a Jade Workshop where we will learn some information about the precious jade. Afterwards, pay a visit to the Changling of the Ming Tombs. Lastly, drive by Olympic Village and have a photo stop at the Bird Nest & Water Cube. Enjoy the famous Beijing acrobatic show after dinner.

 

Day04 BeijingQXian (B/L/D)

This morning you will take a flight to Xian, the ancient capital city for 11 dynasties in Chinese history. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. As the symbol of the old-line Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayan Pagoda) is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Afterwards, proceed to visit Shaanxi History Museum, which has been regarded as “the pearl of ancient dynasties and house of Chinese treasures”. Then take an outside view of the Ancient City Wall. Lastly, take a scroll on Muslim Street.

Day05 Xian (B/L/SD)

Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors& Horses, which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, and pay a visit to the Terra-cotta Figure Workshop en route. Then tour the Qinshihuang Mausoleum. Tonight, we will enjoy Dumpling banquet and Tang Dynasty Show.

 

Day06 XianQShanghai-Suzhou (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take a flight to city of Shanghai, China's most popular metropolis that has attracted the visitors from all over the world. Then transfer to the city of Suzhou, often referred to as the "Venice of the East". Upon arrival, visit the Suzhou’s Bird Nest, designed by Paul Andrew who also designed the Beijing’s Bird Nest.

Day07 Suzhou-Wuxi (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will visit Suzhou Lotus Garden, also named The Couple's Garden. It is the world's cultural heritage. It has survived to the present and is kept in a good state of preservation and its artistic perfection, the garden has had a good reputation, popularly known as “Oriental romantic”. And visit the silk embroidery factory for a demonstration on the silk-making process. Transfer to Wuxi after lunch, pay a visit to Xue family Garden, the former residence of XueFucheng, these historical places are protected by the city government. Then visit the Zisha Tea-Pot Center.

Day08 Wuxi-Hangzhou (B/L/D)

After breakfast visit the Li Garden, located in the bank of the Lake Li with beautiful scene, is one of the main beautiful spots of Tai Lake. The garden is surrounded with water on three sides. It became vivid because of the water, it shows the interests of "the artificial hill the real water". Proceed to visit the Pearl Breeding Center. Then transfer to Hangzhou, visit Leifeng Pagoda, it was a popular tourist attraction. Leifeng Pagoda was one of the sights of West Lake because of the Legend of the White Snake.

After dinner, you can choose to watch “the night of West Lake” dance show.

Day09 Hangzhou-Shanghai (B/L/D)

Today we will take view of the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon from the Flower Harbor. And visit the Dragon Well Tea Plantation to have a taste of the famous green tea-Dragon Well. Then transfer to Shanghai, stop by the jewelry store. Visit the Bund, which is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.

After dinner, you can choose to enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Huangpu River.

Day10 (Friday) ShanghaiQYichang (B/L/D)       by air

Have some free time visiting the City God Temple Plaza and the Nanjing Road, which is No. 1 commercial center in China. Then visit the Pudong new area. Then transfer to take a flight to Yichang. Transfer to pier to get onboard the Yangtze River Cruise after dinner.

Day11 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

Set sail this morning and pass the first gorge - Xiling Gorge, the longest and previously the most hazardous, along the magnificent gorge. Then your shore excursion will take you to Sandouping Port and witness the magnificent view of the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s larges and most powerful hydroelectric dam. Towering 610 feet high and stretching 1.3 miles, the dam will create a reservoir that extends nearly 400 miles upstream. With swells of national pride, some Chinese call this dam the modern Great Wall. Return to ship and pass through the permanant 5-step ship-lock which takes approx. 3 hours.

 

Day12 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

This morning, you will take a shore excursion to the Shennong Stream; you will be transferred to a pea-boat drifting rapidly on a breathtaking ride.  During the journey, you may see the ancient roads, the ancient coffins in the precipice, and even some rare animals such as golden-haired monkeys. Enjoy the wonderful scene of deep and quiet gorges, the magnificent peaks as it they are cut by axes and knives.  Return to ship and enter the second gorge - Wu Gorge, known for its odd misty rock formations and soaring mountain backdrop.  This evening, you will pass through the third gorge - Qutang Gorge, the shortest but by far the most dramatic of the Yangtze’s Three Gorges with steep cliffs and fascinating oddities surrounding you.

 

Day13 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will take a shore excursion to the Ghost City.  It attracts tourists with temple and shrines dedicated to the gods of the underworld, instruments of torture and wild demon images are displayed. Return to ship and the rest of the day is at your leisure. 

 

Day14 ChongqingQGuilin (B/L/D)     by air

Disembark at Chongqing and have a city tour by visiting the Panda House, CI Qi Kou Ancient Town and Three Gorge Museum. Afterwards, take a flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for rest.

Day15 Guilin-Yangshuo (B/L/D)

Take a spectacular cruise down the meandering Li River. The scenery is breathtaking, as jagged, mist-covered mountains loom before you, and quaint villages dot the riverbanks. Disembark at Yangshuo, visit the Yangshuo West Street.

After dinner, you can choose to watch “Impression of Liusanjie” dance show.

Day16 Yangshuo-Guilin (B/L/D)象鼻�?.png

Transfer back to Guilin after hotel breakfast. Pay a visit to Reed Flute Cave. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. And also visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is considered the symbol of Guilin.

Day17 Guilin-Shenzhen (B /D) by second class high speed train

Take a morning high speed train to Shenzhen. Upon arrival, meet and transfser to the hotel, visit Luohu Shopping mall in this afternoon.

Day18 Shenzhen (B/L/D)

After hotel breakfast, continue a half-day city tour in Shenzhen by visiting the Shenzhen Museum, Lotus Hill Park, Proceed to visit Splendid China, which has scaled down replicas of China's historical buildings, wonderful scenes and folk customs. Also, we will pay a visit to China Folk Culture Villages. It is the first spot in China where you can learn of the folk cultures of China, where you will see the distinctive architecture of ethnic groups and join their brilliant festivals. In the evening, we will enjoy the night shows: Genghis Khan Horse Fighting Show & Dragon and Phoenix Show.

 

Day19 Shenzhen-Macau-Hong Kong (B/L)

After hotel breakfast, transfer to pier to take the hydrofoil to Macau. Upon arrival, proceed for Macau city tour by visiting Statue of Kum Ium, Macau Tower, A-Ma Temple, St Paul’s Ruins, Senado Square and Casino Visit. Then take the hydrofoil back to Hong Kong.

Day20 Hong Kong Half-day Tour

Morning proceed to a city tour in Hong Kong Island, including the famous Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village and a jewelry factory. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

 

Day21 Hong Kong

Free Day in Hong Kong.

 

Day22 Hong Kong Departure

Take shuttle bus to Hong Kong International Airport for homebound flight. Tour ends.
