Day01 (Wed.) Arrival in Beijing

When arriving in Beijing, you will be greeted by our professional tour guide at Beijing Capital Airport and then transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for your own leisure, and you can choose other scenic spots to visit at your own expenses.

Day02 Beijing (B/L/SD)

After hotel breakfast, begin our wonderful city tour by visiting Forbidden City, which is the largest and the best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. Then tour Tiananmen Square and outside view of the National Grand Theater. Afterwards, visit the Summer Palace, where we will enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Kunming Lake. Lastly, Stop by Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Institute, which had been designated to provide medicines for the royal pharmacy of the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty for 188 years. Peking Duck Dinner will be served tonight.

Day03 Beijing (B/L/D)

Looking like a gigantic dragon across deserts, grasslands and mountains, the Great Wall of China is one of the 'Eight Wonders of the World'. We will tour the Juyongguan portion of the Great Wall in the morning, and stop by a Jade Workshop where we will learn some information about the precious jade. Afterwards, pay a visit to the Changling of the Ming Tombs. Lastly, drive by Olympic Village and have a photo stop at the Bird Nest & Water Cube.

Day04 Beijing--Xian (B/L/D)  by High-speed train (second-class seat)

After hotel breakfast, take the high speed train to Xian, the ancient capital city for 11 dynasties in Chinese history. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. As the symbol of the old-line Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayan Pagoda) is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Afterwards, proceed to visit Shaanxi History Museum, which has been regarded as “the pearl of ancient dynasties and house of Chinese treasures”. Then take an outside view of the Ancient City Wall.

Day05 Xian (B/L)

Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors& Horses, which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, and pay a visit to the Terra-cotta Figure Workshop en route. Then tour the Qinshihuang Mausoleum. Transfer back to hotel rest of time free at leisure.

Day06 XianQLhasa (B)     

After hotel breakfast, take a flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for rest and get adjusted to the elevation.

Day07 Lhasa (B/L)

Start our wonderful Lhasa city tour today by visiting the famous Potala Palace, which is the highest ancient palace in the world. For more than 300 years, Potala Palace has treasured many culture relics such as murals, stupas, statues, thangkas, and rare sutras. Afterwards, visit the magnificent Sera Monastery. It is one of three famous monasteries in Lhasa.

Day08 Lhasa (B/L)

We will visit Jokhang Temple in the morning. This temple brought Buddhism into Tibet and became an inseparable part of Tibetan history and culture. Surrounding Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street is a very ancient round street located in the old area of Lhasa City. Afterwards, visit Norbulingka, meaning 'Treasure Park' in Tibetan. It is the biggest man-made garden in Tibet Autonomous Region.

Day09 LhasaQChengdu (B/L/D)        

After hotel breakfast, take a flight to Chengdu, which is known as the "Heavenly State". Upon arrival, visit the Wild & Narrow Alleys in Chengdu, Jinli Ancient Street and mingle with local people.

Day10 ChengduQShanghai (B/L)      

Pay a morning visit to Giant Panda Natural Reserve, where we could have a look at the lovely giant pandas and picture with them. Afterwards, take a flight to Shanghai. Meet at airport and transfer to hotel for rest.

Day11 Shanghai (B/L)

After hotel breakfast, begin our wonderful half-day city tour by visiting Yu Garden, the Bund, Nanjing Road, Xintiandi Old French Concession. Enjoy rest of the day as free time to explore this renowned international metropolis. Take own arrangement back to hotel.

Day12 Shanghai Departure (B)

Transfer to airport after breakfast for the homebound flight. Tour ends.
